Welcome to our church!  Based in the South West corner of the town of Macclesfield, St. John the Evangelist is a modern Church of England congregation with a friendly atmosphere whose aim is to serve the community around us.  We would love to meet you. 

Sunday Services

Holy Communion, 10.00am (apart from every 2nd Sunday of the Month).

During the service, children of primary school age can join Sunday@10, a programme of activities and teaching tailored especially for them, before joining the adults for communion.

On every 4th Sunday the communion service is signed for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Family Service, 10.00am every 2nd Sunday of the Month.  A short, informal service for people of all ages and stages of faith - a great introduction to church.  There is no Sunday@10 during Family Service. 

Mid-Week Services

Morning Prayer, Wednesdays 8.30am in the Lady Chapel.  A quiet and mediative service

Holy Communion, Wednesdays 3.00pm at Park Mount Care Home, 52 Park Mount Drive, Macclesfield, SK11 8NT.  A traditional service of Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer

We are inclusive and accessible, with up to date facilities for disabled people, a loop for the hard of hearing, a lift, toilets and baby-changing facilities, and a sound proof 'viewing gallery' for hard-pressed parents.  We are committed to Fair Trade, and you can join us for a fairly traded cup of tea or coffee after the Sunday services.  We also have plenty of car-parking.
