A brief portrait: From the Wirral to Macclesfield via Nantwich and Stalybridge

Tim and Norma have lived much of their lives on the Wirral, where Norma was brought up as a child. Tim originates from the north-east.

For many years Norma was a primary school teacher, before becoming a nurse. She has just finished her Curacy in St. George's, Hyde. Tim was a secondary school teacher on the Wirral and worked for the Open University. He has a doctorate in Geology.

His Curacy was at St. Mary's, Nantwich, with his first Incumbency at St. Paul's, Stalybridge. They both have a broad approach to Churchmanship, with experience in all types of worship.

In their spare moments Tim and Norma spend time with their family and have their first grandchild, Lucy, living in Congleton. They also have a 3 year old collie, Beth, who keeps them fit. Norma also likes going to the gym and swimming.

Tim is a keen golfer and has played trombone in many different types of music group.

They have a lot of energy and enthusiasm and are really looking forward to living in Macclesfield and working with the people of St. John's and St. Thomas's.
